Nobody rebrands their way out of a pricing problem

The diagnosis that most often comes back saying the problem is not marketing at all — and why clients hate hearing it.

Product sketches and colour swatches spread across a table.

A brief lands. The brand feels tired, the market has moved, the deck is ready. Somewhere in the third meeting it becomes clear that the product is priced well above the nearest alternative, and that the sales team has been discounting to close for as long as anyone can remember.

No identity system fixes that. A good one will make it more visible, faster, which is genuinely useful and not at all what was asked for.

We say this in week one, in writing, and we lose work over it. That is the trade. An agency that never delivers unwelcome findings is not being agreeable — it is being useless expensively.
